Mission Statement:
The Pueblo de San Ildefonso Parks & Wildlife Department is an organization that upholds Tribal Laws and Ordinances within safe and reasonable boundaries; the department maintains the tribal fishing lake, and the picnic recreational areas.
- The Parks & Wildlife solely exists through BIA Federal Grants and Tribal General Funds.
- The Parks and Wildlife Department serves the community on four levels: Hunting, Fishing, Animal Control and Recreation.
- The department serves the public on the fishing recreational aspect.
The geographical areas that the Parks and Wildlife are responsible for are: All areas within the exterior boundaries of Pueblo de San Ildefonso.
Vision Statement:
The Pueblo de San Ildefonso Parks & Wildlife Program would ultimately like to see an abundance of return as well as new visitors to the fishing lake and recreational areas, and to ensure year round stocking of the tribal lake. The program envisions solid improvements in interagency relations in regards to hunting and adjoining Agency and Tribal boundaries.
