Temporary Lifting of the Fire Ban

Due to the number of Tribal Members calling for burning of weeds around their homes, the ban will be lifted for 4.5 hours Wednesday-Saturday from 6 am to 10:30 am. Parks and Wildlife have limited resources, please notify rangers when, where, and what you are burning (weed piles only). No broadcast burning. We anticipate that the wind will pick up later in the afternoon. After 10:30 am the open burn pan will continue until further notice. We, as a community, need to take appropriate steps to avoid a catastrophic fire on our lands. Be mindful, please check all debris for any hot spots left over. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Stay safe!

Should you have any questions regarding this lifted burn ban, Contact Tribal Ranger Jose Aguilar at (505)219-7552
